What do the courses involve?
Management Accounting is focused on ensuring that business operations run smoothly and that growth of the business can take place. This is done through a combination of accounting, finance and management functions. Management Accountants look after the planning and management of the financial affairs of a business, and assist with ideas for corporate social responsibility projects. CIMA is the largest international body for Management Accountants, and CIMA qualifications are recognised internationally. CIMA members are suitably qualified to work in different departments across an organisation. Some of the skills that are taught during the course of CIMA studies include the designing of new business strategies, budgeting, general management skills, and communication with non-financial managers.
|
ACCA is a very large global association. The ACCA courses equip students with the necessary skills for running an organisation’s financial department in a professional manner. There is also a specific focus on tax and accounting.
ACCA qualifications are particularly suitable for those who enjoy working in large businesses or organisations. Completing an ACCA qualification will teach you what you need to know in order to be able to plan and control financial matters in large organisations.
